While touring Israel, make sure you visit the various Bat Yam beaches.
Bat Yam provides a stunning coastline, and Bat Yam beaches are considered some of Israel's best coasts.
The Coastal Strip
The coastal strip attracts visitors from all over the country and the world, who come to explore its beaches.
Priding eight declared beaches with breathtaking views and five additional beaches which are not declared but still draw crowds due to their great beauty, all the beaches are clean and well-kept, with each one having its own unique features: some are designated for swimming, others for surfing, while others are lagoons and protected nature reserves.
Separate Swimming – at the Shirat Hayam Beach
Israel respects religious people who wish to swim without gender or modesty issues, and thus provides beaches throughout the country to accommodate them. One such beach is "Shirat Hayam”, with areas for women-only / men-only swimming.
The Theo Beach
There is another beach called Theo, which is about to become a very popular destination for recreation because it has an access road straight down to the beach, a pedestrian promenade and a bicycle path that will stretch from this beach all the way to Rishon LeZion.
Accessibility
The Shirat Hayam beach and the Theo beach are accessible to people with disabilities. There are full access pavilions with shade, and it's easy to get in the water with an accessible chair provided by lifeguards.
Rock Beaches
The three rock beaches are great for quiet swimming in the artificial lagoon behind the breakwater. You can enjoy restaurants and bars on the beach, as well as take in the various exhibitions at the Riviera Beach (swimming is allowed).
At the Marina Beach and Palm Beach, swimming is prohibited, but you can definitely enjoy the scenery and brean the fresh sea air in peace.
Sea Park
There is also a "Sea Park," which is an innovative residential, business and entertainment project which is currently being built. Together they make up a complete pleasure experience.
Sea Palace
The northernmost beach is the spectacular Sea Palace, which serves as a natural lagoon and anchorage for the local sailing clubs (swimming is prohibited). After it you will find the "Surfer's Beach," which is not officially declared for swimming, but is full of surfing activities. In addition, there is the “Jerusalem Beach”, where swimming is allowed.
The Bat-Yam Promenade
The Bat-Yam promenade has become one of the most prominent attractions in Gush Dan. Here you will find unique facilities such as the longest wooden bench in the world and a deck made of moss bamboo – a unique bamboo trunk that absorbs carbon dioxide and emits oxygen.
In the future, it will connect Rishon Lezion, which is known for its beaches, to North Tel Aviv as well as Jaffa and Bat Yam.
